London should win. They roll 4 solid lines that eventually wear you down to the point that you have to take penalty after penalty tokeep up with them. Perry, Shremp, Syvret, Hunter and Bolland are 5 of the best players in the CHL, it's no wonder they're one of the best junior teams of all time. They're PP is also phenominal, they move the puck around better than most NHL teams.

Rimouski has a good squad, but I think counting on one line (Crosby, Poulliot and Roussin), especially against a team such as London will end up working against them in the final.

Memorial Cup predictions

Semi - Rimouski 5 Ottawa 2

Final - London 4 Rimouski 2

Crosby gets MVP, Scalzo wins Top Defencemen and London dominates the All Star team slections

Count me in as watching. The hockey being played in this tournement is of incredible quality, especially when the Knights are playing.
The passion and intensity that these young men display is what makes hockey such a great game.
I also agree, the final will be London-Rimouski, with the Knights taking it all. My choice for MVP will be Corey Perry, whom I think is the most dominent player so far.

I agree with you except the final game may be decided by a goal.

The tourny has featured some excellent hockey.

It's too bad that they do not make the final a 2/3 affair. Also, London has had the advantage of a day off between games. That Ottawa goalie was phenominal in the game against Kelowna.

I don't think Rimouski will beat Ottawa that bad if at all. Ottawa is pissed after that game with London and I see them pulling out all stops. I see the game going into OT and it can go either way.

It is really stupid to have the semi-final at 7PM Sat. & then the final at 4PM Sunday. If the semi-final goes to an extended OT, the final will be a less entertaining game.

Looks like the goalie for Ottawa will likely play after taking a shot in the neck in practice. The 67's probably don't stand a chance without him so WTF is up with the headhunter? I could never understand the mentality of these guys. Even in the pick-up games I used to play in there were guys that rifled eye-high shots at their own goalie in warm-up! Just what are they trying to prove?

i don't know what you all think, but i find that the referees were just a little to favoursome of the London Knights through this whole tourney. but i dunno- they are a great team and easily the favourites to win... sometimes it's hard to decipher because it can just look like one sided officiating when a team dominates. the only thing is, i didn't think they are really dominating strongly... well they dominated ottawa, but i thought rimouski gave them a good run. i guess we'll see.

Pretty much what I expected to happen happend tonight. The score wasn't the same, but the goal differential was.

The final between Rimouski and London should be simply awesome.

- You have a team in London that's only lost 7 games all season.

- You have Rimouski who has only lost one game in their last 45 played, and feature the best prospect to come along since Eric Lindros.

Crosby, Roussin, Poulliot, Coloumbe and Scalzo are simply awesome. They combined for a total of 17 points tonight. Watching them I couldn't help but be reminded of Krutov, Larionov, Makarov, Fetisov amd Kasatonov in the '87 Canada Cup. If London gets into penalty trouble, they're playing with some serious fire.

Should be an awesome game.

agreed... but from what i've seen tonight, Rimouski looks like the team that could get into penalty trouble- and that's also where London will play their best- on the PP.

Yes & who will be the ref for today's final....none other than London native Mark Hicks!!! This after a Quebec based ref does the semi-final. Who the hell is running this tournament clown show?

Stupid comment.

London was the superior team and as rusty stated, the fact that they had four strong lines to roll over was too much for Rimouski.

For a year to miss the NHL we were lucky to enjoy some solid hockey on the Junior front.

I happen to be a huge fan of junior hockey. Where else can you get 125% effort for next to nothing dollar wise. These kids go out night after night, sometimes playing through injuries for the love of the game. I think the overpaid, whining crybabies in the NHL could learn a few things from these kids.

Yes London was the best team in Junior hockey this year & congrats to them winning the OHL & the Memorial Cup! But they should have an officials from different leagues doing the games. I was a little pissed off that my team got screwed on a call in the semi-final that changed the game.

BTW
I had four 67's season's tickets this year & went to 30 games, so I am a fan junior hockey.

Congrats to the Knights! let's hope it's another 40 years! :p

I agree with this problem. How hard is it to have the ref be from the other league? there can be no more than two teams in a game and you have three leagues that have refs. To me that seems to work.

Nah, that makes too much sense.
