I’m totally new to this forum/hobby. A random thought/question popped in my head! Have any of the regulars or hobbyists ever organized a “terb” hangout, for drinks or whatever? Might seem like a stupid question, I’m just genuinely curious lol.

That actually sounds like fun! Yeah okay I’m certain there probably has been. Its logical, given any hobby/common interests, hang outs usually happen at some point.

We've done that in the past with a handful of blokes met on the sites whom you learn to trust. About half a dozen or so of us ended up at a strip club near airport. 2 SPs joined us too lol. (Off the clock, although being gentlemen we of course covered their drinks etc).

It was a blast too as most of us can't really talk about this life to just anyone lol. Yes, “back in the day” there were plenty of socials and other gatherings (boat cruises, halloweeen, and a few strip club socials). But that was at the dawn of social media and shitty cellphone cameras...today, pandemic aside, there are far too many outlets with far too many opinions floating around. This hobby truly takes a certain level of maturity, some folks respect that, where others don’t.
As for addressing the OP...it may happen again, we just have to get our liberties back. Enjoy the hobby, do what you need to do on the board...it IS possible to make “friends” here...but crossing the anonymity boundary is up to you and your fellow punters. Good luck!

Yes years ago there were plenty of gatherings as a matter a fact a particular sp i was dating hosted a couple of them at strip clubs. I used to meet up with a couple of the guys for a beer every so often
