This is correct but remember the number is the chest size measured underneath the breasts. It is not the breast size.Originally posted by Shallow Throat
chest - waist - hips (in inches)
Beg to differ. IIRC, the first measurement is taken over the breasts. Why Not? said:This is correct but remember the number is the chest size measured underneath the breasts. It is not the breast size.
I stand corrected. You are right. The first meaurment is taken over the breasts just under the armpits. See http://www.medela.com/NewFiles/brafit.html#bra sizeGoober Mcfly said:

All I can say is 5" = DD, and not A, according to the sites I checked. SeeAnya said:
Geez Louise, haven't you guys ever bought a bra?? LOL What you're describing is the method of determing bra size - measure under the breasts, then over the nipples. If the difference is 4 or 5 inches (according to manufacturer,) it's an A cup, if it's a 6 inch difference, B cup, etc, etc.

There is always something new to learn here on terb. I sure as hell had no idea how breast cup sizes were measured, I just knew I liked C's better than B's.ryan3232 said:never thought i would have started such a debate, i thought everyone knew this expect for me

To determine your cup size, you’ll need to take a bust measurement around the body at the fullest part of the bust. Make sure the measuring tape is straight or level all around your body and lies flat against your back.
