Any word on this guy? He took one hell of a hit last night.Last I heard he was moving arms legs but had severe neck pain etc.

Sure did. That was one hell of a hit last night!spankingman said:Didnt he play for the Bills for a very short time and asked to be traded?
I too wish him well. I loved the way he played last night. I don't recall him blocking like that in Buffalo, though I avoid watching the Bills if I can. I hope he's ok, that was a hell of a collisionckupets04 said:I hope he is well. I am gonna watch NFL Total Access tonight and hopefully they will have an update on his health. Early word though was that he did have movement in his extremedies. It was too bad his game ended like that last night cause he was having a good game, there were several times where he picked up blitzing Steeler LBs. I love backs that can block and I did not realize that he was such a good pass-blocker.
I watch the Bills everyweek, and I dont recall him ever playing like that. I was so excited the Bills drafted huim being a huge fan of U. of Miami.bigdik said:I too wish him well. I saw that hit on my large screen HD TV and even I felt the pain. Ouch!bigdik said:I hope he's ok, that was a hell of a collision
That would be from the Hines Ward WR education programckupets04 said:Limas Sweed also put a heck of a hit on one of the Ravens DBs, I think it was Walker or Ogelsby, I dont remember.
.
LOL... but he got an "A" in the class where you fake an injury to divert attention from the fact that you just dropped a huge TD in a big game...bigdik said:That would be from the Hines Ward WR education program
Apparently Limas missed the class on catching TD passes.
You should have seen guys like Tatum and Lott. Helmet to helmut hits were an every game occurence.ckupets04 said:Limas Sweed also put a heck of a hit on one of the Ravens DBs, I think it was Walker or Ogelsby, I dont remember.
I still say the best hitter Ive seen at the safety position is Sean Taylor, he just layed out people. He would even hit people in pro-bowls. I loved the way he played the game. RIP Sean.
It looks more like he led with his shoulder, and aimed at McGahee's shoulder. You could see him turn his shoulder into the hit...notanerd said:http://blogs.suntimes.com/sportsprose/2009/01/steelers_choice_of_music_durin.html
This site has a youtube link to the hit...to me it was a bit of a cheap shot in that he led with his helmet directly into McGahee's helmet. Is the NFL talking about a fine? Or am I misunderstanding the rule here?

Yes, you are misunderstanding the rule. This point was actually discussed between Jim Nantz and Phil Simms during the telecast and Simms did a great job of pointing out to both Nantz and the fans at home that there is no such thing as helmet-to-helmet when you have a ball carrier down the field and you're a tackler.notanerd said:http://blogs.suntimes.com/sportsprose/2009/01/steelers_choice_of_music_durin.html

Its a moot point, as there is no such thing as helmet to helmet on a ball carrier being tackled downfield.slowandeasy said:It looks more like he led with his shoulder, and aimed at McGahee's shoulder. You could see him turn his shoulder into the hit...
Didn't Tatum actually legally killed an opposing player on the field of play and showed no remorse?Hurricane Hank said:You should have seen guys like Tatum and Lott. Helmet to helmut hits were an every game occurence.
