Imho Zombieland is the best film of 2009, but Fleischer had a string of bombs until Venom. The film was made for a modest $105 million, it has so far generated $850 million globally which includes $213 million domestically. And it's just getting started in VOD, the current VOD record holder is MM:Fury Road. I watched Venom for the second time, using Jim Carrey (The Mask) as his inspiration, the amount of work he puts into his characters is astonishing. He was completely burned out and retreated with his family to his hideaway in a French fishing village near Saint Tropez.
