Matt LeBlanc Finalizes Divorce
Friday September 22, 2006
Matt LeBlanc is almost officially single again.
The former "Friends" star has finalized his divorce with wife Melissa LeBlanc and according to court papers, the 39-year-old actor has been granted joint custody of the couple's two-year-old daughter.
Melissa LeBlanc also has two other children from a previous marriage.
The couple filed for divorce on April 6 citing irreconcilable differences and the split becomes official on Oct. 6. LeBlanc will be financially responsible for his daughter's education and nanny and is required to hand over $15,000 (US) a month in child support.
The beginning of the end of the relationship may have come when LeBlanc apologized to his wife and baby daughter after a drunken romp with a stripper in British Columbia.
The couple was married in a star-studded Hawaii wedding in 2003 where many of LeBlanc's "Friends" co-stars were in attendance. The actor played Joey Tribbiani on the show, which ended in 2004, and his character spawned a short-lived sitcom that was cancelled in May.
