Frequent masturbation may help men cut their risk of contracting prostate cancer, Australian researchers have found. It is believed that carcinogens may build up in the prostate if men do not ejaculate regularly, BBC News reported on Wednesday.

I recall this study, or a very similar study having been released at least a year ago, possibly even two years ago!

It actually has to do with frequency of ejaculation, not the method by which it is accomplished.

If it is all the same to the researchers, I prefer frequent BJ's! ;)

I know a few men who are habitual masturbators,,,to the extent that they cannot get off any other way. They enjoy b.j.'s but can't cum, they enjoy sex but can't cum,,,,,only way they can is with their own warm hand. Be careful not to overdo the masturbating boys, too much of a good thing can spoil you for so many other delightful sensations ;)

It's that damned testosterone that makes me do it:)

Seriously, of course many men masturbate. We'd probably go nuts if we didn't. It's a great, short term, stress reliever. We'd prefer to have more sex, but very few of us are fortunate enough to have a Significant Other who will supply "sex on demand". Then, of course, there are many of us who are unattached, so we only have Rosy Palm to keep us company. Fortunately Rosy never has a "headache".

Anyhoo, back to the thread. If masturbation helps prevent prostate cancer, then I should be good until I'm about 150 years old, LOL!!.

Howcum priests don't get a lot of prostate cancer?
And to merely raise a technical point in terms of celibacy one is speaking only of Roman Catholic Priests not Anglican or Eastern or Oriental Orthodox Priests.

The study said that any ejaculation seemed as good, but that with sex, it was offset by the risk of STDs, so for disease prevention, jerking was best.

Another related issue is boys at puberty abusing their bodies by NOT having a release. The body is designed to be sexual from puberty on.

If you abuse the body by not being sexual either by sex or masturbation for most boys/teens the result is wet dreams which is simply the way for the body to do what it is suppose to do.

In my case I was very conservative in my Christian beliefs as a teen and thought sex was so dirty you had to save it for marriage. My body forced me to have wet dreams since I was abusing it but the "release" was very painful. I certainly could not talk to my parents about it as they were very uptight old fashion. I only saw them kiss once.

So I read - that old book "Everything you wanted to know about sex" was very helpful and led me to masturbation with the release still being painful.

In fact my first intercourse expereinces were also painful.

Later I learned that it was due to prostate blockage due to my misuse of my body by not being sexual often enough. It is true you have to keep the pipes cleared once in a while. Don't worry I've been cured for many decades now!

Also:
Congestion of the Prostate (Prostatosis)
Congestion of the prostate, sometimes called prostatosis, is a benign condition in which the prostate seems to be swollen by excess fluid. It can cause frequent, slow, or uncomfortable urination, but it responds well to a program of frequent ejaculation and sitz baths.

I think sometimes its not masturbation that causes the problem but in my case my penis isn't terrible sensitive (and I never have masturbated that much maybe a few times a week)

All my life, and more as I get older it is harder to come via sex and I've never cum from oral sex. I can wear out the hand of most body rub gals - not by my choice I would love to cum more easily. On the other hand I can enjoy it longer and with women who need a long time it can be a big advantage. There is only one position I have come in via intercourse for many years and that is a very tight position with lots of body stimulation.

I don't equate this to over masturbation just less sensitivity where I need it to enjoy cumming in other ways.

I recall a Toronto escort a few years ago, who appreciated me telling her "orgasm" isn't the goal and how I enjoy more intimate full body sexuality and intimacy without the "goal" which is unlikely to happen.

She admitted she rarely ever had an orgasm but felt she had to fake it with clients. With her relaxing and us having a very wonderful sensual time, she climbed on and after quite a while was really really getting into it. From her body I could tell she wasn't faking anything. Then that fateful call from the driver that the time was up. DAMM! she said as the phone rung. She said that was the closest to an orgasim she had had in many years. It was the no pressure to perform that allowed her to just go with the flow and with the relaxation came unexpected great time and almost...her orgasm.

Women who have a hard time orgasming is not uncommon. I have even used Sybian on the Phoenix couples group I let with a couple women who had NEVER had an orgasm. And it certainly wasn't a mental block - they were in swing club and very open sexually. Sadly not even Sybian with external vibrator could result in their orgasm, although they said the feeling was great, just couldn't get to the peak the mountain and climax.

Well now that is useful information to have,,,,all the years I was with my ex I thought I was inept because I could not get him off with my mouth. I am glad to know that perhaps it had nothing to do with me at all, maybe he just was not very sensitive and I know he was not a habitual stroker. Good to know, thanks for the enlightenment. :D
