This guy is a hero. The last time something like this happened (bannerman on Sitong Bridge) it trigged the White Paper Protest. Bannerman has not been heard from since...

The 4 different anti-CCP slogans were projected onto a building for almost 50 minutes.

The messages read:

Without the Communist Party, there would be a new China; freedom is not a gift, it must be seized back

Rise up, people who refuse to be slaves, rise up and resist to reclaim your rights

Down with red fascism, overthrow the Communist tyranny

No lies, we want the truth; no enslavement, we want freedom; tyrannical Communist Party step down

Chongqing is one of China's most prominent cities which is regularly featured in their propaganda because of its "cyberpunk" aesthetic in the night as the CCP is trying to push tourism to this city.

Plenty of jailed human rigjhts lawyers in china who are pretty good leaders.
What do you expect their paths to leadership be like? Will they
be as peaceful as Taiping rebels, Dr Sun Yat-Sen or generalissimo
Chiang Kai-Shek in their quest for power.

If it really was a people's government, the people should be choosing

You probably dont need to look any further for a model in Taiwan and its transition from a brutal one party authoritarian rule into a full fledged democracy. Thats probably why the CCP is so deathly afraid of Taiwan as it proves to chinese people there is another way and threatens CCPs stranglehold on power.

The fall of imperial Qing Dynasty in 1911(1912?) and the takeover
of China by the Beiyan government could pass as relatively
the most peaceful power transition in the history of China.
Tens if not hundreds of thousands of Manchurians were massacred
by the revolutionaries influenced by racial hatred instigated by
Dr Sun Yat-Sen and his comrades.

You can expect the toppling of the historically most brutal regime
of China to cost more human lives than you can imagine. Were I a
Chinese living in the mainland I would be deadly afraid of the regime
change of the government from the CCP to a Taiwan
model. For your fantasy to turn into reality you may have to
pray for foreign intervention, I am afraid.
