some of Apples most vocal supporters are now jumping ship, these are some of the guys with huge influence amongst their readers, writing glowing praises for Apple in the past, lining up outside stores for the latest greatest Apple had to offer....no more..... Now they tell their readers about the virtues of Android.

Chicago Sun-Times reporter Andy Ihnatko Vocal Apple Fanboy Andy Ihnatko Jumps Ship To Android

This week, Chicago Sun-Times reporter Andy Ihnatko is making the switch to Google’s mobile operating system. Ihnatko has loudly voiced praise for Apple for years now, giving every iPhone a glowing review, but now, he will start using a Galaxy S III full-time. “My positive reviews of new iPhones and new editions of iOS have always been sincere… Sometimes they’ve been downright florid,” he says. “I’ve been so enthusiastic that I’ve often been accused of saying those things because I’m an Apple fanboy.”

Guy Kawasaki Founder of Cult Of Mac website Former top Apple fanboy now rocks all Android devices

"I fell in love with Android on the smartphone, and then I got a Nexus 7 and started using Android on the tablet as well... To me the great irony is that Apple's slogan was 'Think Different,' but today if you think different you're looking at Android."

Robert Scoble social media maven Robert Scoble Is Switching To Android

"I'm getting ready to leave the Apple platform and switch to Android."

That might not seem like a big deal. But the fact is, a lot of people follow Scoble on social media and consider him influential. They respect his opinion. And Scoble isn't just any fanboy. He's the kind who camps outside Apple stores and sleeps on the sidewalk when a new Apple product is coming out and cheers like a triumphant hero when he walks out of the store with the latest iToy in his hands.

How switching to Android helped me deal with my addiction to connectedness

There are many things I like better about my Android phone compared to my old iPhone, but one of the big ones is something that is missing: namely, all those irritating real-time notifications

Ralph Rottman co-founder of Germany's largest mobile development shop, I'm dealing with apps – predominantly iOS powered – in my daily professional life.

An iPhone Lover’s Confession: I Switched To the Nexus 4. Completely.

If you come by my house, you'd find four of the latest Apple TVs, two iMacs, the latest MacBook Air, a MacBook Pro, more than five AirPort Express stations and Apple's Time Capsule. You could touch every single iPhone, from the first up to the iPhone 5, iPads ranging from first generation to fourth and we recently added two iPad minis.

WOW quite the growing list.....which also includes Apples co founder Steve Wozniak as a fan of Android.
Now all we need is for John Gruber and OTB to convert to be complete

Actually, I believe that Kawasaki works in some way for Google now. The cynics among us could also say that some of those "switchers" are doing so because they want the clicks on their sites.

I may end up having a look at the Samsung Galaxy IV even after getting badly burnt by the Samsung Galaxy I.

At what point will you start calling them "sheepies"?

Why? is that the correct "in" term now?

I didn't call them anything, other than the name some referred to themselves in the articles.

Yes, Kawasaki now works for Motorola...so in essence Google. I wonder if he will be one of the 1200 laid off as reported recently?

it's unfortunate you had bad experiences with the Galaxy S1. I'm loving my Galaxy S3 and I sincerely hope the Galaxy S4 lives up to or exceeds your expectations. Don't forget to check out the HTC One and even the Sony Experia Z all premium first class phones

Who really cares, they're both pretty boring now. Same form factor for 5+ years, just different sizes and incremental updates to processing power and polish. It has become just like the desktop PC or laptop market.

First off, better check your own sentence.
Second, if you have not heard that term on here then you haven't been paying attention.

Which sentence would that be?

I guess I haven't noticed sheepies being used because only someone being accused of that term might take notice of it and might even get defensive about it?

This is kinda funny....MacBreak Weekly podcast, hosted by Leo Laporte has been turned into an Google/Android lovefest lol

MacBreak Weekly Hosted by Google Fanboys

Something strange is going on at the TWIT.tv studios where MacBreak Weekly records its weekly podcast. The show, once hosted and staffed with those that had an affinity for Apple products, has been overrun by Google fanboys. In a bizarre move, it's as if invasion of the body snatchers has taken over the studio, because it's not a squad of new guys hosting MacBreak Weekly, it's the same guys.

What in the Mothership is going on?!

If you've listened to MacBreak Weekly for any amount of time you'll quickly learn that the majority of episodes star Leo Laporte, Andy Inako and when available, Alex Lindsay. Yet only Alex Lindsay uses an Apple ecosystem — from iPhone to Mac Pro — on a daily basis, while the other two guys spend half the time talking about Google Glasses or Android, expressing little to interest in the topic of Mac or Apple stuff. It's a real head scratcher to say the least.

The host of MacBreak Weekly, Leo Laporte, has already professed — on the show no less — that he is a Google Fanboy. Why on earth is he hosting a show he clearly displays no enthusiasm for? This is like hosting a show about Ford cars & trucks while professing your true love for Chevy!

It appears the only reason Laporte is hosting MacBreak Weekly is due to the fact that he is a talented guy, with a deep, rich, voice that would make most men jealous. Leo certainly shows little to no enthusiasm for what's going on at Apple's now-a-days. It wasn't always like this.

Just a few years ago, at the genesis of MacBreak Weekly, the main crew often cheered Apple on against the strong and mighty Microsoft and Intel Gorillas. But the majority of the cast are tech journalists, and with that, something shiny and new always makes for good media. With Android, Leo has something shiny and new to talk about every few days, and that keeps the masses listening. Using an Apple eco-system isn't about hyping the shiny product of the week. Apple's about doing things end-to-end, and doing them extremely well. Follow the chain and no one has an ecosystem as powerful and complete as Apple. iPod, iPhone, iPad, Mac and iCloud. No one does it more seamlessly with the quality Apple does.

Sadly, the Apple solution no longer keeps the majority of this crew interested, and it's making MacBreak Weekly a bore to listen to. Perhaps it should be called MacBreak Weakly - Just Kidding!

I know many bloggers use Macbook Airs as their preferred laptop yet they cover Windows laptops. The Verge is an excellent example of this.
