.50 cal.??!! That round could likely smash through concrete!

If it was a .30 cal pistol round, I could see it may be possible to stop it with a thick, dense object.

When I was in the reserves, the scuttlebutt was that a smg round could be stopped by a curtain drawn - but not pulled tight - in front of the target. No one bothered to put that to the test btw.

Now that I think of it, I think the general public are the biggest losers. We put up with this shit, and people's tax dollars are spent to arrest them, bring them to court, probably some child service programs down the road etc....
