He walked in with a 20 pound chain around his neck. I've oftened heard people know when they're dying, apparently he did too. Has anyone had an mri, I guess like any job there is always a level of complacency, I guess there's not an immediate off switch?

I think that's a case of negligence and there will be a settlement forthcoming.

'She told News 12 that the technician summoned into the room her husband, who was wearing a 20-pound chain that he uses for weight training,''

Huh?...No that can't be right...Can it?

If this is true I'm thinking this guy must have been really heavy to carry around that weight.

Anything metal that is inside you, such as a pacemaker, a skull plate, or metal artificial bone joint, etc., should be declared to the technician before you get anywhere near an MRI machine.

I wear a 20lbs weighted vest on my walks now. I’m just starting at this weigh but it can go up to 32lbs. It was a great investment

That is exactly what I thought too, it isn't funny when someone dies because of someone else's negligence.
I don't agree. There is always documentation given weeks prior to the Magnetic Resonance Imaging session. Nurses can't be held accountable for someone being a Jabroni.

I recall when I had a head MRI years ago, they made me get an X-ray because, among other things, they asked if I ever welded or used wire wheels/grinding discs. I had.

If there happened to be some ferrous metal particle that ever got lodged in my eye, it could get yanked out by the magnetic field and rupture the eyeball on its way out! I figured I would have noticed any shit getting lodged in my eye. Shit, whenever I'd get a tiny metal splinter in a finger it would be so irritating, never mind my eye.
