Over the last month I have seen more men in Toronto carrying Male Purses or Man Bags then I have seen in a long time. I know they have been around for awhile, just appears that their are more men carrying them. As you know it is very prevalent in Europe to see men carrying them.
Any "carriers" on TERB? Find it useful?
What do the fine ladies on TERB think of them?

The secret is to carry less gear, not more.

Hell, when my wallet starts to puff up, I have to dig through it to see exactly what I can live without.

I have an actual backpack. Lined properly for my laptop. Large and very durable as I'm on the TTC daily. I works better and is better for your back in carrying it.

Honestly they are just a soft briefcase with a strap. I don't see any issue with them if you need it. Especially these days with electronics.

I have thought about getting one of these because my wallet and cell phone weighs down my shorts. Wearing jeans is ok it's just the shorts.

Guaranteed I would forget mine somewhere the very first day.
Yes, this is a problem. If it's not belongs to you for long time, you can lose it easily. It's happened a few times when I bring an umbrella with me or a few friends lost their sunglasses when they bought a first pair.

I thought I'd rig up an underarm holster to support my i-phone. Wear it under my shirt. Open the next-to-top shirt button to pull phone out of holster when it rings. Gotta be quick-draw of course. I made prototype from corrug. cardboard and 1/8" cord. Very difficult problem actually -- the human body is the wrong shape for supporting things to carry under your arm. Mine is anyway. There's a limit to how many straps and adjusters you're prepared to put up with for an i-phone.

But then I cottoned on to the solution. I realised my work phone and my hobby phone can complement each other. I wear my work phone under my left arm and my hobby phone under my right. Now the straps are symmetrical, and the two phones counterbalance each other. Problem solved!

The result is very comfortable to wear (the prototype, anyway.) It's easy to pull either phone out (and easy to put them back.) Of course, chaps who need two phones is only a small market niche, but I'm sure I'm on a winner.

Any terbites in the market for a two-phone double-holster? Bit of market research -- How much would you pay??

I carry one only if I'm going to be out of the house for a while. So I have my phone, wallet, keys, usb battery pack, sunglasses, charging cables, etc. Definitely a necessity to carry a bag when travelling. The PacSafe theft resistant ones are nice, but expensive.

I use a knapsack on weekends, leather messenger during the week; most guys in the business district tend to today, I find - typical briefcases are far too stale and gym bags/knapsacks aren't entirely appropriate for the office or wearing with a suit. What is effeminate (not that we should judge) are bags that not only look like a women's purse but also being carried by men as a woman would carry her handbag.

I use a small backpack to carry my crap. One day in the park, I took the pack off my shoulders to remove the weight. Turned around, turned around again and the pack had "disappeared".

There must be a place in hell for people who steal bikes and backpacks. Lowest life form (just above immigration lawyers) on the planet.

I really don't get how a simple male purse gives off some kind of feminine vibe for some people.

If I had a nickel for every umbrella I've forgotten somewhere, I would have at least $0.75 today!!!

If you are wearing a suit or jacket you should not be carrying anything with a strap. Over time - actually fairly quickly it will ruin and depress the shoulder line. That is why a briefcase or short handled bag is preferable.

Anyone wearing a backpack with a suit will probably never move far past middle management - unless you are an actor or UFC fighter.

I wear a hoodie, just like Mark Zuckerberg. Hi tech companies generally aren't overly concerned about how you dress only how you perform.
