Making DVD compilations?

I want to make a few DVD compilations of my porn collection, taking anywhere from a single scene to several scenes from each disc. The plan is to use a DL disc, slightly compress the compilation so I can get 5 or maybe 6 hrs onto disc.\

My questions;
which software would be best to use for the editing or authoring?
this is something that I would work on over weeks and months likely, my plan would be to create a multi session disc & add tracks as I go,or would I be better off keeping the files on HD until I was ready with the completed project to burn ?
I'd likely use Nero for the actual burn process , I have dvd shrink, pinnacle studio 8 Quick start (I've never installed) but am open to suggestions.

I use Shrink to create multiple titles and it's editing capability is 1/4 sec accurate (accurate enough for porn).

But to shink 6 hours onto a single DL? Good luck to get any decent picture out of that. It'll look more like VCD.

To your second question: Burn as you go for backup and keep your stuff on the HD. You would not be a happy camper if you wake up one morning and your HD crashed and was not recoverable then all your work will be for nothing.
