Does anyone know where else I can find a place like Main St. Unionville within an hours' drive? My new GF loves it and was hoping to show her more places like Main St. Thanks!

Port Credit is good, so is Oakville.....Orangeville is also nice but their main st is only about 4 blocks long....Niagara on the Lake is cool too but busier n hell on summer weekends. Make sure you check out the small graveyard in the park. It is interesting to read the headstones....
Arms has decent outdoor jazz. Best Italian on Main: La Grotta, then Al Dente, imo.Pargolfer said:

Love Niagara on the lake but > 60 mins drive, if you bundle in the spa retreat, ah, heaven.
More than 60 mins drive: Lindsay & as others suggested St. Jacobs, Elora, Fergus. Stratford/London is another good choice bundle in a play.In T.O., not as townie, Bloorwest village, Beaches Jazzfest was a blast, Little Italy.
Waters by the Port Credit Marina are romantic, live entertainment on wknds http://www.portcredit.ca/component/option,com_extcalendar/Itemid,215/extmode,view/extid,329/ a mini version of Queen Quay, less people & more free parking.
Make sure that you mention to her where you heard of all these "olde" style Main sts. And give us a wave as you stroll by.
Port Perry is nice, lots of shops, not quite as impressive a floral display but it overlooks a lake and meets the criteria of being within an hour of Toronto.

Toronto - Queeen Street East from woodbine to almost Vic. Park ("the Beach") or Queen Street West from University heading west.
Out-of-town = Bayfield on Lake Huron (on the way up to Goderich).

IMO, there's Niagara on the Lake... and then everything else.
I enjoy taking the drive from Niagara Falls... and then following the river to Niagara on the Lake.

For all the gents on here from markahm/unionville, you should go there on sunday evenings. There is this really hot girl with a bald guy who always go for walks. She likes to wear daisy dukes and high heels. She has to be at the most 23yrs old. Wow.
