Madness in the WWF/WWE

Across the Rubicon
The real life hijinks in the WWF seem stranger than any of the storylines presented on tv.

On a recent plane trip back from the UK, Mr. Perfect and Brock Lesnar got into a physical altercation over who had been the better amateur wrestler. Mr. Perfect ended up being fired. On that same trip, Michael Hayes and Bradshaw got into their own little tiff, with Bradshaw decking Hayes. Then too, there was Golddust drunkenly serenading, not Booker T, but his ex-wife Terry, much to her embarassment.

Pretty strange goings on. The best set of reports that I have come across are at:

http://www.1wrestling.com/news/default.asp?dt=200060

Enjoy! However, be warned: if you do not have some form of pop-up stopper, the ads at that site might drive you to your own form of madness.

waning interest

I dunno 'bout you guys, but ever since the split I've been less and less interested in watching RAW and Smackdown on tv. Anyone feel the same?

it's natural growing pains as the talent is a little thinner right now. it'll take at least a few months to integrate some new and less used guys, but the WWE should still do fine.

And JR has already stated his interest in signing Goldberg...so talks will start soon. In addition, Ken Shamrock is contemplating a return to the squared circle.
Goldberg might go to Japan, and it has been reported that Shamrock has signed with NWA. I believe that both these guys were/are looking for a non-exclusivity contract clause to allow them to do other things outside of the WWE.

La ou le plaisir n'a pas de limite...
Get Stone Cold out of wrastling, technically sucks and has no mike skill that someone over 12 would like.

Look out for Nash on monday to tell it like it is.

The nWo with flair big show and xpac does suck.

P.S. This monday we want hall chants will be crazy.

IMO Austin is good, but he has to have a very specific somewhat limited character to excel and they're trying to make him work beyond it. I wont miss Hall, who he is made him a little entertaining and he gave other guys good material, but he himself is pretty average. I'm hoping some of these young guys can show up and strengthen things a little.

Austin cant wrestle to save his career. Have you ever seen him do any new move new in 2 years. Get him out and let some new guys win. Hall was given no chace, if he had he would get twice the pops any one else does.

Most guys don't develop new moves after a certain point, Hall hasn't done anything new in a few years either. I saw Hall in WCW and wasn't impressed there and he had a lot of air time to do something if he could, he's better then some but he's not worth problems in the back.

Why would I want to pop for Scott Hall?

Problem is Hall is a heel. Basic rules of Heel Heat/Face Pop: You boo the heel, you cheer the face. Don't get me wrong, Scott Hall was great as Razor Ramone, but now he just doesn't try. Austin on the other hand knows exactly how to play face and heel. He played both sides of the "WHAT!" chant. Even though he hated the heel role he played last summer, he was great as the paranoid bastard. Along with Kurt Angle, he carried the company in HHH and The Rock's absence. Another great example is HHH, he was the best heel, knew how to draw heat from the crowd. "Playas" like Hall and Nash, they play the bad guy role but they want you to love them. So what do you do when the good guys come out?

WWF- Mr. perfect

I don't think we'll ever know the real story behind That flight. I do understand why Curt Hennig may have been frustrated. Since he had come back at the rumble he was basically treated like a jobber. I'm not saying they should have pushed him right away but it seemed all they did was put him in situations that made him look bad. Think back at how many opponents that this guy had to job for. He has great mic skills and can give one hell of a match but they did nothing with him. I'd be getting frustrated to.
A word of warning to any former WCW or WWF stars that left in the great talent exodus of the early ninties and came back......Hall....gone....Hennig......gone......Dustin runnels.....his gimmick could not get any more embarrassing. Nash's involvement has been limited(even before his injury). I personally am looking forward to Jarrett's no organization. It could very well evolve into the "I hate Vince Mcmahon club". There is alot of talent out there now. Hall, Hennig, Savage, Scott Steiner, Goldberg, Konnan, Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Sting, Vampiro,... to name a few. If they can pull together and put their egos aside I can see this new organization growing to be a threat to WWE. The business thrives on competition and right now they have none......thats not a good thing.

except Bret Hart got retired by Goldberg's sloppy ring skill (which he hurts himself with enough as well) and Scott Stiener can't control his left foot.

True

True but the format for the new promotion is once a week pay-per-views. possibly a house show a week also. Bret could handle that. You may be right about Goldberg. What's wrong with Scott's foot?

I forget the name, but when Jim Ross was asked about Scott Stiener on OTR he said he had a mental condition that was giving him no motor control over his left foot. He's attempting to get treatment for it and if JR can be believed if they can get the problem fixed their interested in hiring him.

Scott Steiner has got a twitchy left foot caused by too many injuries and probably too much
steroid use. I love him as Big Poppa Pump and i hope he joins the pathetic WWE circus
soon. Austin/Undertaker need to go and take a back seat. Stasiak small as compared to
other guys on TV. That is funny.
Goldberg is about money and WWE does not pay alot of money as compared to other
promotions. Pride was paying Shamrock 350$ big ones per show.
I confess i subscribe to the Wrestling Observer, does that make me a geek.!!!!

Booker T in the nWo what a shamble, still no sign of Nash. This is the worst idea ever. Booker and goldust should be tag champions.

Booker T

Booker T will be turning face very soon. They just needed a bigger heel for him then Golddust. They'll pit him against the NwO with austin I'm guessing. Ausitn and Booker work well together. that would keep my interest. As far as Golddust goes, They should give him back the mystique he had when he first came back. He plays a good psychopath. Unfortunately I'm guessing Mcmahon will keep him around to make an ass out of him until he feels like terminating him. Does anyone remember the fun vince made of him the nite he bought WCW? Saying Golddust wanted to get breast implants?....Jesus have some pride Dustin!!!!
