Notice how it had to go back to 2007 to find a post about a Mac issue? There's no need to spam for Windows support, it's like operating a funeral home. People will die, Windows PC's will crash. :p

… and clearly those Mac-obsessed scoffers missed that there was no evidence that Apple hard or software caused it, but the wetware that's common to all systems.

Wow .. anyways ... the old archive install instead of a base install or even an update install would have saved u this issue .... truth is DD the Volume to an external drive and then either run the Coroner's tools from the command line and find all the flags and recover what u need from the DD volume u made or .... use Data Recovery which will get some of what u lost back...
Have fun woody .... u found a new bridge i see... ;)

As with many problems it seems the issue is between the keyboard and the screen...... a DFU.....

That's all you could find? His first point includes a whopping 4 problems with a mac, and his second and last point is "fuck you"

So is this the definitive site proving that macs aren't as good as all us fanboys say it is?
... you're a Maddox newbie arn't you ?

:D

The real answer is , your screwed,

If you format a PC or a MAC and install windows, or OSX you have lost probably a majority of your stuff.

You CAN use a recovery software, but chances are 800% of the stufff you find will be currupt, and or in accessible since everything is fragmented all over your HD, and chances are bits and pieces have been overwritten.

Data recovery only applies if your HD dies, and you dont copy or put anything on it.. software, or even hardware can be used to recover files on broken HD's
