I do my own oil changes, First I change out the used synthetic oil for conventional oil without changing the filter to flush the crap out of the engine. After a quick run with the car I do a full synthetic oil change with new filter. The oil is so clean ( especially when I use Quaker State ) that it is hard to see the oil level on the dipstick. I can do a double oil change for about $50, I buy several jugs of synthetic oil when they go on special.
