Depends on what I'm doing. Different lubes have different consistancies. These days ID makes lube that I like.... it comes out liquidy but has a certain texture to it (i.e. not watery). Don't like the ones that are like a gel.... too thick.

If its for anal I might suggest initially applying a more viscous lube and using fingers to get the lube on the insides as well. Works a bit better than the more watery lubes since they will drip and end up away from where you intended on putting it.
Hmmmm lets think about lubes for a minute......
there are some silicon based lubes that are interesting different feel than gel or liquid ones.... nice and of course safe with condoms.
KY and Astroglide make decent products. Nothing really sticks out.
ID makes good lubes. Test them out in the store. I once bought one that had a mint added to it so it felt like I was applying some sort of cold rub stype stuff.... .weird tingling.
Probe I believe is made from natural ingredients like grape fruit seed extracts and a few other things.
If this is for personal use where the anal will be BB then try out a bunch of different ones and see which one you and your man like. If its for business and therefore covered go for what feels good for you.
My advice go to one of the bigger sex stores and try the different samples. On your hands of course.

The fingers may sound strange but I'm suggesting that using one finger and a lot of lube helps to add more lube to the anus. Reapply more lube to the finger and insert again. This means more than just the opening is well lubed and may provide you with a more comfortable experience.

I think reasonable sized anal beads could work as a good lube applicator. Provided they are not the size of a cue ball. Silicone lube is great for anal...it stays slippery not sticky and a little goes a long way. Dr. Johnson make a good one.

I use Eros lube from Northbound Leather...expensive but helps with Greek Tours and explorations. Expensive though at $138 a can. However, the gentlemen's main head work well with it.
