I hope LSU wins again but I wouldn't bet against Saban in college ball. That guy can gameplan like no one else especially when given a month to do so.

Here and there
Would have preferred LSU vs. Okla. State -- great defence vs. great offense as opposed to two great Ds. But that's just me...

The biggest factor in the BCS formula is the human vote. I can agree with the human vote having Alabama #2, so under the current formula its the right final.

That being said, they could use the same formula, but have a rule that only conference champions can reach the final. At least until there are playoffs. If it was an 8 team playoff I would be fine with at larges.

But under the current 2 team final setup, you can't justify having a non conference winner inn the final.

If it were up to me, I would have chosen LSU vs Oklahoma St as well.

I agree wish that Ok. St would have gotten the bump up to #2, but the rematch can't be as low scoring as the first gm. The Mad Hatter is going to through so many different formations at the Bama defence this time around. Should be interesting.

All Oka.St. had to do was beat a bad Iowa State team. OSU has no excuses, for not going to the title game.

No one will admit it but the plane crash is which two Ok St. Women's basketball staff lost their lives had an affect on that game. Since it happened the week of that game it is the only thing that can explain how a team as good as them dropped the gm to the Cyclones. They don't really seem to be to mad about not getting in though having finally won the watered-down Big 12 Championship.

Yeah I was going to say the same thing. It's a little difficult to take into account in the polls, and the OK State staff is too classy to admit it, but that definitely had an impact.

I do agree that Alabama is probably the second-most talented team in the country, but it's frustrating since the BCS bills itself as 'every week counts' when clearly it's not the case. Alabama played a much weaker schedule and you can't even really argue 'oh the SEC is the strongest conference so their conference is stronger than anyone else's' since outside of LSU and maybe Arkansas the SEC wasn't very good this year, and Alabama didn't even win their conference. They had their chance, and couldn't capitalize. It's the nature of the BCS I guess. Until there's at least a plus-one playoff system, some type of this situation will happen every year, and deserving teams will get shut out.

The really terrible thing is the Sugar Bowl picking Virginia Tech ahead of schools like Boise State and Kansas State. Virginia Tech is not that good of a football team. They got blown out in their conference title game, and played a very weak schedule overall. How they can be worthy of BCS bowl over Boise State who lost by one point to a very good TCU team is beyond me.

The Orange Bowl (OK State and Stanford) should be a great game though, and I still think the national title game will a good one. I doubt we'll see another 9-6 game

I think LSU and Alabama are the two best in College Football this year and deserve another crack at each other. The first game was a snoozer, but it did go into overtime. The other games I am looking forward to watching is the Orange Bowl ( Stanford vs OK State) and Rose Bowl ( Wisconsin vs Oregon).

I can't believe that they allow UCLA into a bowl game with a 6-7 record, the NCAA should have a rule that you have to be a .500 or higher team to paly a bowl, not the existing winning of 6 games.

Punishing a team for losing in its conference title game is sort of silly. You would take a 6-6 team instead that did not have to play Oregon.

Treat them lie any 6-6 team -- which of course should be out of bowl games -- but since you have over 30 bowls to fill they make it like other 6-6 teams..
