I was out buying food this afternoon in prep for Christmas. I also have been trying with no success to get a booking for my vaccine booster. That is an exercise in futility if you live in York Region. Anyway I was downtown today in Little Italy buying food when they announced on the store loudspeaker to book booter with their pharmacy. So I go over and the clerk says they just ran out. A young couple(early 20's) line just before me got the very last dose. They overheard this and , looked at my grey hair I guess and they insisted I take the last shot. I refused and thanked them but they insisted again and then gave their phone number to Pharmacist and walked out. I felt really guilty until, while putting my after-shot wait, time they walk back in. There had been two cancellations and they both ended up getting their doses. 
The Gov't website is a disaster and places like Shopper's aren't much better. Thank heavens for the great young couple that I met.
