As a hobbyist I can say that San Francisco is very much like Toronto. Independents pretty much rule down there; agencies are relatively small in number. Services are the same as what we get here except the price tag is generally $300 US for the hour. Most of the indys are incall but will travel (for free) to hotels.

San Francisco hotels can be expensive so take that into account if you're going there to work for a while.

Minx: Going by your profile I assume you are still a dancer. I am not up to speed on current situation as far as where the good money is. I can say this though. When I was an agent back in early to mid 90's all the girls wanted to go to The Downer in the summer time. Every girl I ever sent there made a killing. The next best place they all like to go was the Club 77 in Brockville. The money was touch and go there but everybody liked working there. The club is nice and they provide decent accommodations. Food there is good too. I know I tried it myself. And now that it was years ago I can confess to having stayed in their 'dancer exclusive' accommodations. Another club popular with the girls was the Solid Gold in Sudbury. All the girls I sent there made major coin. Last but not least... I did not book girls locally (Ottawa/Hull) very often but when I did without a doubt Pigale and BareFax were the favs. Both are nice clubs and the money is excellent.

Like I say some of this info may be outdated since I have not been in the biz since '96... but I think from reading reviews etc... It’s still pretty much the same.
