looking for website design, info and costs

Whats involved in a fairly simple website,(no flash or any fancy stuff, non adult industry related, for a small non profit association ) hosting costs etc, also looking for someone to design etc.
perhaps roughly 6 pages, maybe a discussion forum using v bulliten likely, something that can be managed ,updated moderated without web designer to make every change.
Hits would be fairly low, there is a free hosted site already in place that could be used as a starting point, that info would be passed along if the desicion is to proceed .
So basically Im looking for approximate costs and names of designers (preferably not industry related designers)

Depends solely on your design options. There are lots of prepackaged website designs that you can buy then modify. Even some hosting companies offer a small selection of templates with their service (http://www.dotcanada.com/content.php?page=hosting). If you still want something totally custom though, I would budget $500 for the design unless you know someone that just does this part time.

I know a few designers that might help out but take a look at http://www.templatemonster.com first if you really want to attempt something yourself. Pass along your email address if you want me to forward you name around.

As for a forum.. not sure exactly what you need but again some hosting services provide the basics. You just have to define what you need.
