Looking for upscale restaurants in Durham region

I moved to Whitby last May and haven't been able to find a fine dining restaurant I like. Please chime in.
I have tried Chatterpauls, Bella note, Brothers (the best), a Tavola, Amici, Avanti, Casa Verde, Mondo, the keg, etc.

Fazio at Simcoe South and Athol, in Oshawa, for their wine and generally good menu.

Brothers at Dundas and Lupin, in Whitby. But, you already visited them.

Is Bella Notte at Brock Street, just south of Taunton still open?

Sauters Inn in Pickering Village isn't as upscale as most, but a damn good feed at a decent price if you like Schitzel and German cuisine...

Having said that, I just read that by the year 2019, in Whitby Shores they are constructing a convention centre for 1000 people, a hotel, and a restaurant at the top. It will be across from Heydenshore Beach which is great because right now it is all industrial looking type land.

Apparently it will be built on an angle so all of the rooms face the water.

I would put Haugans in the class of Swiss Chalet and of the 2 I think Swiss Chalet is better.

I am shocked you don't approve of Avanti's at least for the quality of the food. It isn't upscale as some, but it is very nice, just popular.

I would also suggest Harpo's on Stevenson in Oshawa south of King. It is a fine dining experience and it is kind of unique
