I need to get a beater, I've seen some nice Mazda 3 at the car dealer Downsview auto on Sheppard, but I found bad reviews online and nowadays you don't know if the good reviews are real.
Thanks

There's a dealership called Autotech in Mississauga, which was good the few times I used them. They were fairly easy to work with and not too pushy. As always, do your research carefully on your desired vehicle and take your time.

Don't go to Downsview Auto. They have a terrible reputation. They won't even let you test drive the cars.

Stay away from that place, they get the bottom of the barrel shit cars from quebec and auctions that other dealers dont want.
There is no such thing as an honest used car dealership.

Buy private, atleast you can tell the kind of person you are buying from instead of a professianl liar.

Find something you like in your budget and take it to an independent mechanic for an inspection. You may spend $80 on a car you don't buy - but it will be money well spent.

If you are looking for a used mazda 3...buy it from a mazda dealership with an inspection report. They know the car and won't stock a clunker. Ask them to throw in a 1 yr bumper-to-bumber as part of the deal.

Just bought 2011 Scion
Do not buy car from Quebec as their standards allow rebuilts and you never know so Quebec is where the crap gets resold

When inspecting car look for receipts in glove box telling you last owner then contact them. Worked for me.

Whitby Oshawa Honda, they seem to have something for pretty well everyone, not just the practically new stuff. My son bought a 2008 Mazda from them, and a friend bought a used Ducati. Prices were very competitive, unless you compare to a rebuilt wrecker.

Not sure that's fool proof. I bought an MDX from Acura 2000 on Queensway and the sales manager gave me a line about them being part of the used car dealer association and if there's anything wrong with the car or if it was in an accident, they would make sure I get a full refund. A few years later when I was trying to adjust my headlights and couldn't, I took it to a mechanic and he showed me all the parts that weren't aligned and fixed properly because the car had been in an accident.

I was stupid for not taking it to my mechanic to inspect it before buying the car.

Goes to show, you can't trust a dealer, not matter how big they are.
