Hi folks. Does anyone know where I can get some (raw) puff pastry? Saw it on a xmas cooking special and I'm looking to pick some up. I have no interest (or ability) in making my own pastry from scratch so I'd like to buy some.

I haven't seen it at the regular grocery store so I'm thinking it's a specialty item?

(and yes, I see the irony in who is asking this question...:p)

I'm pretty sure you can buy it in the freezer section at most grocery stores. Planning to cook up some piggies in a blanket for Christmas Eve?

That's right, it is in the freezer section. You can get the puff pastry shells or the square/triangular shaped variety. Make sure you buy it enough in advance of when you want to use it so that it can thaw out. Usually just a few hours on the counter does it.

Tenderflake - you can find it at any grocery store in the frozen section $3.50 - $4.50 (I can't remember exactly).
I recently made Blueberry and cherry turn overs. Soooooo good!! I used E.D Smith's canned blueberries and cherries with puff pastry. Then use an egg wash and fork to seal everything in. And finally brush egg wash on top for that golden brown finish. Soooo easy to make.

Note: Dethaw pastry - Make sure you use flour as needed (both sides) to avoid sticking to the counter top and rolling pin.

Thanks folks, found it!

Metro has Tenderflake in the frozen foods section (not made with butter).

Real Canadian Superstore has President's Choice in the frozen foods section (made with butter).

If you're looking for it, both stores also have phyllo pastry in the same section.
