Got these off the deals forum but have never used them myself.
These guys came highly recommended for things like price, honesty and know how.
Not necessarily in your area but one of these guys may be mobile or work from home.

i take my car in to where all of the cabbies go so that in itself is a high recommendation. I could swear he undercharges me and never does anything more than is required. It is a father son business that has earned its reputation down through the years and his name is Brian. Being a woman, I feel very secure there. However, it is downtown and called Centennial Auto Garage at 416 535 9242. I give it 5 stars and wouldn't take my auto anywhere else.

part of the problem is that i dont know much about cars and i seem to always end up paying over what my male friends quote me and when i bring that up im told a reason i dont understand for the extra cost
im going to give a few of the suggestions a call and see what i get told for costs as i didnt even understand what the last mechanic told me was wrong and i was overcharged heavily at the last location i used, unfortunately i didnt have a choice on where to go because i wasnt willing to tow across town
one of these days ill finally get CAA i just keep procrastinating and paying for it
