Greetings ladies and fellow TERBverts,

Weird question but this seems like the place (and the crowd) to ask...

I'm looking for recommendations on where I could find a hotel that can provide the following:

  • early check in
  • spacious suite
  • lots of natural light
  • large windows
  • higher floor/interesting view
  • nice furnishings/decor
  • downtown or GTA location
I guess 'camera ready' would be a good way to describe what I'm looking for. Recommendations gratefully accepted. Thanks in advance!

One King West - Premier Suite. Either end.

King Edward too, but their suites depending on the exact one can have odd facing light.

Hilton by University and Richmond - Any floor above 25, north facing, renovated rooms.

I'd say Trump too, but you can be hard pressed to check in any time before 2 or 3pm.

Ottawa base.
Thompson hotel also. However not that much interesting view unless you are facing the park (warning itks elevator key card access)
One King West.
Executive suite at the doubletree hilton
Soho is great, but view meh.

Always the option of an upscale airbnb also (unless you have to prove to your job that youa re staying in a hotel or something)

I had done a shoot for girl at the Intercontinental on front st she had a suite there, both the room and view were great. One King West also is nice but on a higher floor facing south east with no obstructions .

Many hotels say that they don't allow early check-ins but if you're standing there (especially with a suitcase) and ask nicely most will accommodate.

Sheraton Centre has nice suites facing City Hall. Large and lots of light. You have to ask for early check in but it's usually available. Lobby is always busy so anonymity is good, Large Green P parking lot underneath. Also good for daylight pix if needed.

Some hotels like the Soho Metropoliton will put your bags in the room prior to you being allowed to enter the room

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who chimed in here and a quick follow up. I ended up finding a downtown condo on hotels.com that was nicely furnished with floor to ceiling windows and a balcony. Lots of room to move around in, two bedrooms and many great places to pose in natural light. Ended up booking for two days to get the morning to evening time slot I needed but it ended up costing less than a hotel and probably worked out better. Thanks again!
