Hey guys.

I have never actually read a fictional book. For those who know me, I spend 24/7 of my time studying, and hence only read non-fictional books. The only fictional books I've read were the goosebump series when I was like 10.

Anyways I was browsing amazon.ca. And I found that there're escorts out there who actually write about their experiences, like here:

http://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_ss_b/...arch-alias=stripbooks&field-keywords=callgirl
http://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_ss_b/...rch-alias=stripbooks&field-keywords=call+girl

Some of them actually allow you to read the first few pages, and I am finding them quite interesting. I was wondering if anyone has any read any of those and can recommend which ones are good?

Hope you guys don't find me weird=p

Thanks!

I like reading medical journals. I almost feel like I could do some of those operations.

If you have never read a thing, odds are you do not want to read. The fact that your first choice would be titillating escort bios says a lot.

Try the Income Tax Act. Mainly fiction, contains untold amounts of cruelty and perversion. You will laugh and cry at the same time. Not a lot of actual insertion sex detailed but everyone gets screwed.

Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov was a most fascinating man! Besides having an academic career in Literature, and being a successful author, he was also a famous lepidopterist (expert on Butterflies) specializing in "Blues." *

His family's house/palace (where he lived the first 18 yeas of his life) - fairly close to Saint Isaac's Cathedral in Saint-Petersburg has recently been restored, now that his memory has been "rehabilitated."

*Nabokov's Butterflies (2000) is a good non-fiction work on this aspect of his life as is Nabokov's Blues (1999).

If you don't mind titties , this is one great book. Comes with a stand too.

Just a bit under 10 grand.

I had a chance to browse through this book at a book sellers in New Orleans several years ago. A unique experience.

For a fascinating historical novel that includes prostitutes (sorry: courtesans), try

In The Company of the Courtesan

For more modern titillation in a novel that is a mixture of thought-provoking literature and smut, a must read is

The Sexual Life of Catherine M

Memoirs of a Geisha - would be my recommendation.
And if you really want a racy espionage & thriller cocktail, try the Bourne trilogy from Robert Ludlum.

Not the best written book but for a Torontonian it's rather interesting...
At Home On The Stroll
If you enjoy playing spot the location or people then give it a read. It's a bit slow at times but for the history of Toronto alone it's worth a look.

Also try going to Come As You Are, they've got a great fiction section with a lot of variety (plus some other stuff that's fun to shop for! :D ).

For something totally unrelated but a great read (non-fiction though) I recommend A Short History of Progress. I first read it a couple years ago and still rave about it.

Contact our lovely Ariel Sanchez to recommend you a book to read, she is a girl with a Librain Girl Next Door, she would suggest plenty of reading material for you for the whole year....... She is a wonderful educated & well versed girl indeed, & we are lucky to have her amongst us.

It's very difficult to recommend a book

to someone you don't know. I don't even know what you are studying. But I've got to say a lot of the suggestions are fairly awful. I mean if you're going to recommend a book to a person that never reads anything - shouldn't you make sure the book is damn good before you recommend it? Isn't this a desert island situation? (If you were stuck on a desert island, what's the one book you'd take if allowed one book?)

I think this novel is brilliant - one of the best of the 20th century. If you are just looking to kill time and don't want to watch the tube, don't get it. But if you are looking to read a great modern novel, this is a good suggestion.
