London England Strip clubs

Hi guys,

I'm off to London tomorrow for a few days. Then off to Edinburgh to see the rugby matches. I my question is do any of you gentlemen know of strip clubs in London? I'm sure some of you do. If you could let me know what they are like I would appreciate it.

I may even have some free time in Edinburgh if you have any ideas...

No matter what else you do, STAY OUT OF SOHO!!! Very bad news, there....

Glasgow is only about a 40 minute train ride from Edinburgh. I haven't been to any in London or Edinburgh, but I have in Glasgow. Very nice. Make sure you run into the place in a kilt yelling "I am William Wallace." Most are right in the middle of the the main entertainment area. Much bigger city than Edinburgh, more modern and great night life. Edinburgh is far more scenic and historic. Lot's of good pubs there too. Last time I was in Glasgow it was in December. I remember lot's of good looking girls waiting on line to get into the bars wearing mini skirts and those little tie around tops, while it was well below freezing. God did I appreciate the effort.

As Bobzilla said, stay away from Soho in London, extreme rip-off scams there.

There are some "clubs" in the Mayfair District, that depending on your bank account or ability to expense these things for business are worth looking into.
Been a couple of years since I visited the clubs but as I recall they have a door fee about 10 pounds, then you buy drinks for yourself and an attractive lady of your choice. The selection was always good and the drink prices weren't the soho scam. Also, in Soho you find you end up paying outrageously for the girls time on top of the drinks...the club I was at in Mayfair...just paid a top price for the drinks. The girls were usually smartly dressed and pretty good conversationalists, unlike the production line doxies you tend to find in Soho. The Mayfair girls were anxious to leave the club with you and would take you home for about 100 pounds a night...which is not bad if you don't have a place to stay. But if you have already shelled out for an expensive London hotel room, not such a deal.
In these places it is always buyer beware...if it is too good to be true, it undoubtedly is!
Stick to your budget, never let them see how much you have in your wallet and have fun.

That said, I would recommend the Spearmint Rhino. It ain't cheap, but you'll only get ripped off in the expected ways...

Flogging a dead horse here but "STAY OUT OF SOHO". My last trip there I was "encouraged" to frequent a club featuring "The Hottest in Adult Entertainment" where, much to my chagrin, I discovered that there was nothing to drink but what was alleged to be champagne. 200 pounds (money, not weight) later I left without as much as a quick brush of my privates.

I was ripped off at SOHO 7 years ago. I exchanged no more than 5 sentences with a Slovakian girl and drank a glass of fucking pink fluid (I don't even know what it is now), then I was charged 140 pounds.
