I find that many out of town ladies/agencies book average hotels in downtown. Problem is that for those driving in need more time during the day - traffic/parking issues. It will be great if a nice hotel is booked by these ladies/agencies with easy access/parking then for a person like me can even step out of the office for a quickie. Though not sure if the downtown location provides this opportunity to the office workers in downtown.

Other issue is that the reception is always staring in these places while going in/out. Just writing this to take perspective of clients/ladies/agencies - all views welcome!

For me, downtown hotel is my preference, I work in my downtown office a day or 2 a week, and I can easily slip away. Most stay at nice hotels like the Indigo (very nice), the Radisson, the suites place near Rideau, etc. Only one I have seen in the last few months was a mid range place, the Extended Stay, which was ok...but not great. Never had any issue with the front desk...you walk in and head to the elevator. There was one hotel downtown, the Arc, that I do not think is SP friendly...never seen one there, but when you walk in the front desk asks you "What can we do for you"...I was once asked by a travelling SP to check it out before she booked and I suggested she stay somewhere else...mind you, that was about 7 years ago (and sadly the SP has retired...).

I've been to the ARC...no issues..nice rooms, beautiful bath tubs to play in, if you're so inclined

I've walked by it many times. The exterior doesn't really say hotel, seems ideal, good to know. I glanced inside and the interior seems nice.

I prefer downtown. As it is easy for me to get it done and go my way. but I will travel to far places if its worth it ;)

I've done a few outcalls to the Arc and every single time, I get stared down. They've never said anything, but I feel quite sure they know what's going on. It is a nice hotel though, but a little too uh, on top of things, for my liking.

Downtown is a pain due to parking and traffic. Plus as it's so busy you're more likely to be seen going into a hotel.

Since they're not usually ones that do conferences, not exactly easy to explain away.

Dont know why girls dont like using the airport area hotels. free parking and moderate price hotels. More hotels in that area is being build this summer. Personally dont like the Extended Stay or anything in that area as the management know and look for escorts.

I like hotel close to 417 with easy/free parking. Travel Lodge Hotel close to 417 fits the bill. Rooms are good, lots of parking, easy access from all directions. Hotel has nice swimming pool with water slides. I have met a few top notch indies there;)

As for Arc I was there twice and they have a habit of walking into the rooms on customers. On first occasion I was in the middle of action when a young lady kept on knocking on my door even though we tried to ignore it until I had to dress on and open the door. The excuse was she had hotel compliment of a bottle of water!!!!Likely the real reason was to check out the noise she was likely hearing. The second time I had just checked in and no girl was there.
Wow, really? Then again, complimentary beverages are usually already in the room upon arrival...Well, just a reminder to be mindful of the noise...

Yes and I remember reading on the other board that a few others (providers doing incalls) reported similar experiences with Arc.
Interesting...if you had the do-not-disturb sign on the door handle and they still knocked to give you a bottle of water, then without a doubt they were snooping around. Then again, the general consensus is that staff working at such hotels will leave you alone as long as you don't cause a disturbance.(not trying to be accusatory here)

I don't think hotels can be labelled as "hobby-friendly" or not, my theory is that you could be beside a paranoid tourist who's hearing lots of coming-and-going or other "noises" :p and subsequently whines, so basically isolated incidents, for the most part. This could explain why some guys report no issues.

Just my thoughts. To be upfront, can't say I've done this "hobby" in hotels much.

I used to rent hotels with a past gf. Basically multiday fuck sprees. Mariottt never gave us a problem. We couldn't get a room there once and had to take one at the holiday Inn I think. Staff came and banged on our door numerous times to be quiet. It was messed. We were younger then and I was more interested in drilling away lol. But honestly I'd flip if it happened now.

I can understand if the lady is a wailer. Which personally annoys me to hell, but this is why gag balls exist no?? Lol.. Ok i kid.

I'd have complained to mgmt if do not disturb was out and they came through like that. I'll keep in mind to not book there. As an aside. The restaurant there goes to the foodie events and has amazing burgers. :-D

I like hotels which are not downtown. The Travelodge close to the 417, the one hotel just off Innes road close to the 417, the one that PK used to use. The one on Prince of Whales and Hunt Club. All these are easily accessible and have free parking. It happened to me that after paying the parking downtown, the SP is so late that I had to cancel and leave but my parking money is already spent.
