Licensed?

Hi,

Can anyone shed some light on what it means to be a 'licensed' massage parlor in Cambridge/Kitchener? I'm assuming it means activities are condoned and considered legal in the town but I've read a couple of threads where LE has been hanging around in the parking lot which seems a bit contrary.

To protect the trained professionals who perform these services and to keep unsavory business owners from operating massage businesses that serve as covers for unlawful, lewd behavior. Some states and municipalities require massage establishments to register before offering services. Though some requirements are common, the exact process varies by state and municipality.

In Canada, you must obtain a license to operate any business legally. And if you notice "massage" parlors usually are all in the same area..that has to do with city zoning, for commercial or personal businesses. Like Working man said..each city has different Bi Laws..Example in Windsor..you must have an escort license to be an escort.
