Exactly. It's disgusting, the fact that they have the audacity to come out and act like they care about anything more than looking "progressive" to appeal to a certaik community is disgusting. They don't actually care for their lives, this bill isn't racist, it's realistic! -

What pisses me off more than anything is the fact that no news media isn talking about it, outside of the one article written by the Toronto Sun. Yet, their STUPID buy back programs got media coverage for weeks. Our country is a joke, Libs and NDP are literally idiots who spend more tike discussing how the USA should run their country rather than making actual efforts to fix this one. (See anything Jagmeet Singh has ever said in the last 12 months)

Firearms is an ideological issue for the Libs and the NDP and it has nothing to do with the realities on the ground. After thirty years you guys should be familiar with that.

I was only keeping one eye on this.
I thought a major objection to C-238 was that its language mirrored language around mandatory minimums previously found to be unconstitutional.
Now, it is possible that could be fixed in drafting or in committee I guess, so maybe it should have gone forward anyway.

If the Liberal objection really was "nah, we handled all the firearm stuff with our assault-weapon thing" then that's some serious bullshit and the bill should be resubmitted in some way.

I agree with you easy fix with the minimums, but for whatever reason the Liberals don't really want to go after the illegal guns, unless the balance of power changes resubmitting it is a waste of time as the Lib/ndp will defeat it again. if the illegal gun crimes keep rising this will bite the Liberals in the ass down the road
