Read the newspapers and watch the news on TV, how can the PM who is visiting the troops, just lie in their face that we have the best equipment and he has increased the military budget. Being in the military, I'm held accountable for my actions, decesions and the people that work for me. Who holds the PM and his stooges accountable for their actions. Everytime politician visit us, we are told not to ask certain questions or to speak out and if we do, we will be decipline or charged. Lots of people in the military can't wait until the PM is gone, I would like to be there at 24 Sussex when he leave to kick his ass out the door.

I have to agree with rubmeister100's assessment: J.C. is an incompetent who will go down in history as Canada's worst PM.
One thing in his favour: the man is an outstanding politician: his parliamentary record is exquisite. At the same time, however, he's the least qualified "leader" ever thrust before the electorate of a western democracy (maybe I overstate my case: those French and German guys aren't much of a bargain either).
Chrétien’s so-called legacy is doomed - he's made every bad decision that a head of government can make: from Defence spending, to gun registration, to Kyoto, to Canada-US relations - the man's been as disaster.

Yet the public continues to vote the Liberals into office... It's funny that most Canadians are very unhappy at how the Liberal Government continues to make Canada look like a company created by Walt Disney, but we vote the same party we love to berate to run Canada's most influential province.
