So my City Fido (old) was expiring this month.
Called Fido. Spoke with front line customer service. I told her listen, I have better offer outside. She says Can't do anything, try retentions (I think) department.
Retentions guy comes. He was very specific. Kept asking me what EXACTLY I want before he will give me an answer.
I started by telling him, I have been with Fido for 5 years. Two CityFido lines. I want SAF dropped and price lowered to match Wind's rate.
Puts me on hold, comes back with no SAF on both phones.
I said, no thanks. I want lower rate too!!
Puts me on hold again. Finally:
Two City Fido (old with unlimited mins) SAF GONE.
Monthly rate down to $35. ($10 credit till end of contract)
So now my City Fido matches Wind's rate. Somewhat, but I am happy.
Moral of Story : Make a 5 min phone call, save a lot of money. For me thats $400 on one phone.
6.95 SAF
X
24 (two years)
+
240 ($10 credit over two years)
=
$400 And thats ONE line, I have two.
