Yup, that was right before he attended the $40,000 a plate reception hosted by Jay-Z and Beyoncé Carter. Now according to the Obama Campaign Governor Romney was a "fat cat" when he was at a $50,000 a plate reception, so apparently that $10,000 a plate makes all the difference between slumming it, and plutocracy.

David Letterman says he doesn't hate Mitt Romney and would like to have the Republican presidential candidate on the "Late Show."
"I don't hate Mitt," Letterman said on his show on Wednesday, a day after President Barack Obama appeared on the late-night talk show.
"I think now more than ever he and his lovely wife, Mrs. Mitt, are more than welcome to come on the show," Letterman said. "If you think you're going to get to the White House, you've got to spend time in this chair."

I was curious myself, so I looked it up. His full name is Willard Mitt Romney. The Willard comes from J Willard Marriott (the hotel guy and family friend), and his father's cousin Milton Romney, whose nickname was Mitt.
It's nice to be born with a platinum spoon in your mouth, like Mitt.
This helps to explain why he is sooooo concerned above all, that the Top 1% he caters to doesn't get screwed over by the 99% below them...:eyebrows:
