Let's get on Bluesky

Hopefully this won't be removed by MOD and me being accused to advertise something... I don't get anything out of this!
I just hope to see more people get on Bluesky.

Twitter/X has been a problem for months/years now... since that guy took over.
It's time for a change.

Bluesky may not be perfect, but I'm tired to try to reach my favorites ladies and to realize that their accounts got ban and all our conversations/videos despaired.

Bluesky seems fine, but the biggest problem is that there are not enough people on it, so it doesn't attract enough people.
A lot of providers open an account but feel it's not worth it, and stop posting because there's not enough traffic.
Several have posted months ago then don't go again.

I'm telling you, it worths the try...

Spas and ladies, encourage your peers, maybe we'll get something going.
Also, providers, don't forget to fill out your bio, so we know you're real and that where you're from.

I have blue sky and I have followed every provider that has both, which is less than half. I think I have 9 or 10 providers on Bluesky and only 2 post there regularly, so it’s really a slow moving train.

It is very slow, but if we talk about it, we may help the train to go faster. That's the wish and the reason of the original post.

I've been on Bluesky since early on. It has it's good and bad points. Engagement tends to be quite low, but I do like it there.

I my opinion twitter is still the best. Sure some accounts get flagged. Im not sure its the platform flagging but they do take them down. I think some of the time its complaints from competition. If thats the case its sad. I know indy providers have told me this. Their Twitter disappeared then they get a bunch of fake bookings and overloaded with stupid messages when coming to our city. Several traveling providers have mentioned this. It may not be true but makes you wonder... not a good look for our city if so!

It's not a question of lefties or righties... the problem is that providers and spas are keep getting suspended on X because of some of their pictures.
It's getting annoying to follow people and all of a sudden, their account gets ban.

I don't care that guy political's opinions, but it all started when he bought Twitter.

i have to tell you , it's not because of pictures

it's about anything that leads to think that there could be an in person meeting

an ass picture with the caption: "sky is blue " will go unnoticed

BUT ( jeu de mots) an ass picture with : come meet me at ..... my schedule is ..... will get you flagged

I agree that most of the time suspensions and bans are due to not following the TOS but lately there has been a rash of suspensions and it’s unclear anything was violated in some cases. Many SWs have been targeted, often by someone politically or religiously motivated or with a personal agenda so it’s more important to be guarded in what we post.

I disagree from personal experience that Elon didn’t change the rules, under his direction the algorithm changed significantly with an increase in shadowbans and suppression of visibility. My own growth shifted from 1k per month to almost nothing and paying for a premium subscription made no difference. There were new restrictions on linking to other websites. The content presented to me also changed from fellow SWs I follow and engage with to alt-right posts and rage-bait I go out of my way to block. And the moderators have curtailed action against complaints where there is a TOS violation for things like targeted harassment and hate speech.

Unfortunately it’s hard to keep up with multiple advertising platforms. I’m hoping Twitter will change hands and revert back to what it was but ready to switch to Bluesky when the time is right.

It's not clear whether BlueSky welcomes sex workers. SWs are allowed to post initially, however as they figure things out there is a substantial risk that they will be banned or shadowbanned.

It's a nuanced issue. Sex work is legal in some countries; illegal in others. BlueSky's high level take is that they will not allow anything which is illegal to be posted on their site. This leaves a lot of grey areas and raises multiple questions.

edit : something about encrypted messages that i don't understand nothing at , i had to enter a passcode and still , those people appear " blocked " to me .

Well you know there was once a blue sky Chinese food take out restaurant in Ottawa,there was no internet then so they posted there pics on the restaurant window, like a egg roll,fried rice and the menu lol they ended up closing because there pics was fake and they had terrible service, sounds kinda familiar lol Just having fun with it

There is a rash of suspensions going on, but if you mean that you lost followers, sometimes those temporarily throttle up and down. Also every once in a while, a glitch will occur where it looks like someone unfollowed you, but they didn’t and vice versa. I’m not sure about people who are blocked, possibly their accounts were set to “sensitive” and your account is not set to view sensitive content. If you can’t find them at all, they were probably suspended.

He changed a few things but really the algorithm changed because there was less bans from the right which were rampant before mUsk...any republican or conservative leaning member are getting banned. he evened the playing field, politically.

Awe, thanks. I haven’t been as active this year on Twitter, the worst thing about it is it will shut down my fundraising for the PD Fund this year I’m hoping that eventually my appeal will be successful but in the meantime, I’m going to have to figure something else out. C’est la vie.

I don’t blame anyone but myself, I knew that suspensions were happening and took a chance posting something new. I should have done more research as now they’re banning based on keywords, I used the word “tour”. It’s possible someone reported me, but in all likelihood, it has more to do with the company wanting to deplatform sex workers. Sucks but we’re not accepted in most countries. Thanks and hoping others read this to keep their accounts safe.
