First of all, let me state that I accept responsibilityfor all of my own actions, whatever, wherever and whenever. Unfortunately, with respect to certain things, perhaps like some of you, when Wally–the-one-eyed-whale is calling the shots, I end up in situations I later rather wish I hadn’t. So with this eloquent premise I proceed…..
I saw an SP last week based on reviews on Terb. Unfortunately, didn’t take the time to read ALL of the reviews. Also, no website, so all info used for decision making was written, no pictures. "A 7/10 with large breasts who was somebody else’s “must repeat”". I crafted a my mental image of this luscious woman. Gave a call, she had a sweet voice. Image complete.
Penis-brain and I headed down the road. She answered the door, mental imagery changed drastically. Cortex desparately tries to contact P-brain but no response. I entered and had an hour of , well of, well……….sex I guess is the best word. Then I left hoping for early onset Alzheimer’s. Not a repeat for me.
However, the real point here is not the encounter per se, but how I used some others’ reviews, impressions of her, as a basis for my decision-making and how incredibly remote the woman’s appearance was from what I had expected. Its not that these individuals necessarily gave false information, but they clearly have different tastes, expectations (not to mention visual acuity) than I do. I would also guess that the reviewers are considerably older than me and their assessment of age perhaps a bit erronious, something I hadn’t even considered. The big problem of course was lack of pictures, but the point that I took the written advice of complete strangers is an eye opener. (I’ve been at this biz a while, so I don’t think of myself as naïve, but apparently I am more stupid than I give myself credit for).
Lessons learned for the future:
a) take advice from those with like interests based on prior reviews they have done or PM’s,
b) take advice from an SP who knows what you like and you trust her,
c) take advice from your best friend or
d) your mother…
In conclusion, reviews in Escortia (i.e. the world of escorts and such, “the hobby” to the rest of you) are like art. You see, if somebody describes a painting to you, it will invariably look different than you expected. Maybe better, maybe worse, but invariably different and your experience of what you see will surely be different than anyone else. Persoonally, with regard to this artful analogy, I think that in this particular instance, if I had only known that my advisees were had a Velvet Elvis above the couch, I would not have partaken of the Gallery.
C’est la vie.
