Can't expect Stajan to score points & become a leader when he's on the 4th line and playing with grunts. If he's moved up to the 3rd line & gets better wingers, production should be better

Is this kid not a rookie? or a second year pro?
I think the expectation would be he learns the NHL game, avoid mistakes and make incremental improvements.
There are more than enough (too many!) older experienced guys on this team to provide leadership for guys like Stajan

Stajan is a veteran and was drafted back in '02... it is '06 now... time to step up.

he's on 4th line for a reason... he was tried on the top 1 and 2 lines and has slowly diffused to the 4th line. his production sucks.

still young with potential... but he gets a 'C' in my opinion because he hasn't proven to be any better.

and about moving him to 3rd line.... 3rd and 4th get approx. the same amount of ice time with Quinn, so go figure!

What is it ? 3rd year on the big club ? a veteran ???
Quinn experimented him on the top 1 and 2 lines. I wouldn't expect a kid to really get kick started that fast especially when expectations of Stajan are not highly required. Remember, we have Lindros & Allison. Give him time, I mean ice time. But you know Quinn won't unless he starred instantly. Part of Stajan's demise to 4th line was because of his weak back checking & defensive coverage - he has mental lapses. Whereas Steen is strong two-way & why he's playing on top lines. 3rd line & 4th line do get approx same ice time, but better linemates on 3rd line.
