There's no way I'm paying those prices to see some shitty hockey game. I'm lookin to get decent seats on the cheap the night of the game off some scalper, can it be done just as the game is getting under way.

It can be done. It will require patience. You have to be prepared to outwait them. You might miss the first 10 minutes of the game though. You also have to be prepared to not go to the game, if you can't come to an agreement on price.

I've never tried it, but I'd be surprised if there are many tickets left and the scalpers dropped their price. Sure, they eat the cost of any tickets that are not used. But they make a killing by keeping prices high, not by dropping prices. For a Habs game, I say you won't get a decent deal. For a game against the Islanders or Carolina? Maybe.

But let us know how you do. If it works out, maybe I will try it. Because there is no way I am paying those prices to see a shitty hockey game either.

Montreal will be a tough ticket.
After checking the site posted by Mac, I see there are no tickets for tonight, but there is at least one for this Saturday night starting at $46.

noticed leafs scalper prices have gone up lately and I don't know what for... they now are not in any contention race, but tickets are demanding about 50% and in some cases up to 250% more than they did in November.

make a trip to Buffalo and watch a real game as Mtl/Tor aren't going anywhere special this year. oh, and you'll save some $$, too.

With only 4 home games left, people are buying tickets before the season ends. Note: It is impossible to get tickets for the March 20th game against Montreal.

quite an atmosphere for 2 cellar dweller teams...
The battle to avoid last place can be exciting. It would be awful if Leafs finished last and Boston gets first overall draft pick. Does Edmonton still have their first draft pick? If yes, they might win by losing.
