Does anyone have any experience with foam/latex mattresses?

I have not bought a new mattress in a few years, but will do so soon. There are 1001 ads on social media for the foam mattresses, the ads almost all say "It comes in a box, it was easy to set up, it's made in Canada"

I want to know about comfort, possible problems and issues. I hear that memory foam runs hot, so apparently latex is better, however with all the new names on the block, it is difficult to decide,

Also, I am interested in a remote control adjustable frame, does anyone have any info on reliability and durability?

I've got one of the hybrid foam/spring mattresses a few years back and am pretty happy with it. Took a little bit to get used to the edges not having the rigidity of a traditional mattress but I'm sleeping fine. Don't notice any difference in temperature control.

I have a foam mattress at my incall. Guys always tell me how comfy it is. It came via Amazon. No odor (because some has) and it took form in less than 24hrs. (It may take up to 48hrs)

If your wife is a squirter I would suggest another model or to buy a cover because it is clearly not liquid proof.

I have had foam mattresses for many years. The first ones that came out could get very hot, but the ones today are fine.

What I like is that they do not collect and hold dust like traditional beds.

I like memory foam. I bought my last one from a place in Alberta, by the internet. I like it because I have broad shoulders and a narrow waist, and it's the only kind of bed that doesn't make my shoulders ache. But it's not for everyone. Concerning temperature, yes foam holds a lot of heat. So in the winter you have to open up your bed and let the room warm it up for some time before you hop in. Otherwise it can be bloody cold! In the summertime, you have to have air conditioning or it's a nightmare.
