No name or photo of the suspect arrested in the story or on the TPS twitter feed soooo..wasn't a white person.

Doing some digging it the TPS twitter comments it was an Asian guy with no shirt. The lefties will be disappointed if it's true.

If it is true I wonder if it's the same Asian guy in Stanley Park last summer with the swastika on his chest yelling slurs at Jews.

I try to avoid public transit whenever possible. You never know who is sitting or standing next to you inside the vehicle or on the platform/bus stop.

Yeah, yeah, I know someone will pop in and say he's taken public transit 10mm times and is still alive.

I seen a report the other day some guy who is deaf and blind in 1 eye was beaten up in the subway for his cell phone.
I won't mention the race of the suspect who was captured on security cams , lefties won't like it.

"In recent weeks there has been a spate of attacks on transit trains and buses, most of them seemingly random and unprovoked.

The shooting death of Kartik Vasudev at Sherbourne Station in April and the attempted murder that same month of Shamsa Al-Balushi — who was pushed onto the subway tracks at Yonge and Bloor — were the most shocking incidents, but there are many others.

A bus driver was stabbed by teenagers in February. A woman was reportedly sexually assaulted on a train at Coxwell Station in late April. And a child of 12 was sexually assaulted in mid-May on a bus at West Mall and Burnhamthorpe Road.

On April 16, one man punched another repeatedly in the Bloor-Yonge Station; a man was choked and robbed at Pioneer Village station on April 12; and another man — also in April — was stabbed in the neck at St. George station.

A teenager was assaulted by a stranger in April at York Mills station."

Christian Garcia says he was texting his mother inside Dundas subway station when a man grabbed his phone and tried to run away with it.

A Toronto man who was robbed and beaten outside a subway station late last month is calling for more security and staff at TTC stops.
"I never expected it," said Christian Garcia, who is deaf and legally blind in one eye.

Garcia said he was texting his mother inside Dundas subway station when a man grabbed his phone and tried to run away with it.
"I tried to get my phone. He punched me 20 times," he said. "It really hurt. I couldn't sleep."

Garcia's story is one of a number of violent acts at TTC stations that have advocates calling on the transit operator to take more responsibility for riders' safety.

Recent incidents include the shooting of an international student at Sherbourne station and the pushing of a woman onto the tracks at Bloor-Yonge station.

TPS are looking for 33-year-old Nathaneal Butler-Robinson

*** In addition to the theft of his phone, the victim’s hearing aids and other items were damaged during the beating.

CBC is reporting that the young woman who was lit on fire at the Kipling Subway station has in fact died.

This makes me so sad. What the fuck is this world coming to. The problem is going to be the same old same old, the guy will be labelled as suffering from "mental illness" and will get some idiotic sentence that you will not even understand and he will be out (quietly) on day parole in a couple years. And we will all be told that we are barbarians for demanding that he be put away for life. Really for life.

Mental illness or not, if you take someone's life you should be incarcerated for 25 years minimum. You've lost your right to function in a civilized society.

More like incarcerated for life!
It's expensive for the govt to pay for a life sentence. In some states, they have capital punishment. What's the point of having someone in jail when it's guaranteed they will die in jail naturally?

Better than letting them out to commit another crime.

There is so little information about this murder on line.

Was he known to the victim?

Who is he? What is his story?

What precipitated this murder?

What was his motive?

Does he have a record of violence and past convictions for such?

I'd really like to know. They've published his name, but very little else.

Regardless, the guy is a savage to have done this.

This is extremely sad. Very sad...They apparently didn't know each other. I don't know why the police is holding back so much info these days. But he's for sure mentally ill if he's walking around with a bottle of gasoline (or whatever liquid)

It sounds like a hate motivated crime either against another Asian of a different ethnic origin OR incel attack.
