I must be old because I can remember when they could occasionally be seen here in the Toronto area. Now the light pollution is so bad we haven't got a hope. Great pics, thanks for posting.
There were reports of the northern lights as far south as Kentucky!

I've seen them three in the GTA, both planned and unplanned, no where near this intense. You have to get north of the GTA, Orangeville or Auroraa nd have some trees or hill block the direct city lights on the horizon to have the best local viewing.
