Last minute appointments

This question is mainly for providers. Is it considered offensive to request a last minute appointment? While I understand that they can be rarely accommodated is it really to much to ask. My specific work and home situation does not allow for much planning ahead and I really don't want to book then have to cancel. I am generally forced to book last minute as a result. The reason I ask is I have looked at a few providers Twitter feeds and see some pretty snarky responses regarding last minute bookings. I am fine with getting a no but if possible I don't want to offend anyone either.

I would double check their website before reaching out…
My ads on LL & my website state I do not offer same day dates, yet every day I get requests for them.

Some are new people & some regulars who mention they know my rule but hope for an exception, sadly until September I can not offer any last minute dates

But I fully understand your circumstances and you are not alone! I am excited to be able to have a more “regular” schedule in the fall and be able to meet people who have a free lunch all of a sudden! :)

* I actually plan on creating a special lunch package just for this very occasion!* 🤫🤫🤫

"a special lunch package" sounds like a brilliant idea, good for you for catering to your clientele in such a way. This is the difference between a provider who doesnt care about creating a business and a brand and one who does :) These are odd times, nice to see you choosing to be so accommodating to the new reality.

Times have changed with everyone working from home, it's 100 times more difficult to get out, this is the reality. Hopefully more SWers will be setting up lunch specials like Nadia, it's very smart business.

I’ll just speak in generalities here as there are always exceptions and all providers have their own structure but last-minute appointments dovetail better with a higher-volume business and/or set hours with little to no screening or deposits in my experience. I’ll have opening hours, get ready and take whomever is in the queue that day. I can take people quickly as I’m ready to go, and not asking for things like references or deposits. Think of it like a restaurant that takes walk-ins.

If the provider is offering low-volume service, they’re likely getting ready just for you and otherwise probably not prepared to see you. These preparations can take a couple of hours, more if they must book and travel to an incall. Think of low-volume more like a catering service or fine-dining restaurant which requires reservations and planning.

You may be writing providers who don’t offer last-minute appointments and it can be annoying to get repeated unrealistic and unreasonable requests. Last-minute dates are often not possible nor desirable, especially if you’re booking someone with a higher-priced service where details are expected to be on point. These requests also put your provider in a time crunch to be ready. It’s important to understand that booking last-minute can mean you’re asking someone to change their plans for the day and rush to get ready—this adds stress and opportunity for things to go wrong.

Meanwhile last-minute bookers have the highest incidences of flaking, being late and crossing boundaries because there may not be time to properly communicate and understand policies.

My best advice if your situation makes prebooking always impossible, is to either book those clearly advertising immediate or last-minute availability or try to work with a regular where some of the more time-consuming back and forth is already taken care of. If you know their location and general availability, that also helps.

For myself I can generally book 11-3 the night before and 3-midnight on the same day with 2-3 hours notice if I’m not already booked. There are exceptions of course where you can get lucky but they’re rare.

Good luck and kudos for thinking about being considerate. Hopefully this helps!

"Think of low-volume more like a catering service or fine-dining restaurant which requires reservations and planning" this approach right here, and if the provider specifically has appointments that cater to those who work from home, like lunch time specials, then everyone wins.

Ottawa base.
Im currently a little bit outside of Ottawa so right now I cannot accomodate last minute nor even same days, but when I am in town, not in school or the days that I say I am available (lets say 10am-8pm on Friday, I can do last minute), however as I only see regulars and repeat from my own place, I need to make sure that the incall location that I have access are free and available and even there it does required at least 90/2 hrs notice. However when I post on leolist and my twitter saying im available now till 10pm, then yes it mean that Im already showered and ready and can see someone in 15/20 minutes notice. But as Ruby stated, there is a high level of no show and flakiness from clients even if you think that your schedule is actually not going to change in 10 minutes...but some bookings are made by others jealous and petty escorts, clients that collect address for whatever reason, some people rub one off and are no longer horny, some get a kick out of wasting providers times.

One provider that does same day and last minute is Rebecca Gold in the south near the airport. If she post on LL she definitely is avaialble

One thing that really suck since covid hit is that a lot of the incall that were share by numerous of us are no longer in services so that makes it a lot harder to accommodate short notice since those available are booked up in advance

I was lucky to know a few providers who from time to time would have closer to the first model, where they would spend the better part of the day at their incall and would for the most part be ready to receive clients. If they had time between clients or was a win win situation since the were there and had time. There were no hard feelings either way if there was no availability. Unfortunately, since the pandemic it seems most of my preferred companions have moved on to other things.
