What Sheik said...

If you can wait `til Boxing Day, you`ll likely get the best deal. I got mine at Best Buy, but it was on their opening day and got it at a substantial saving...

For the Boxing Day sales, be prepared to start lining up very very early in the morning. Usually each of the stores will only have a specified number of each item on at the posted really low price.

It gets damn cold at 5am waiting for the doors to open on Boxing Day.

When I went out to purchase my XBR (is that right) Sony over a year ago, I found that the prices were the same ($2,999 for the 32") right across the city. Apparently, Sony keeps a pretty tight lid on their suppliers prices, especially when they have their own stores being competed against. Where there was the odd deal was that in some stores, they would give you a break on the cost of the TV stand (woopeedo).

However, I did get a circumvented deal through Sears. If you apply for a Sears credit card, on your first purchase (no matter what it is), you get 10% off. That's $300. Then I just paid off the Sears card (don't forget to do that part..I think their, cough, credit is around 18%).

Its a great TV.
