Korean Computer Question

I found an old P4 with XP O/S on the curb outside a Korean store. Took it home and turned it on. Not password protected but everything is in KOREAN. Went into the settings to look for "United States English" but the menu was all in KOREAN. Tried to find English by trial and error but the only changes was the currency.

Query: How do I convert this thing to English:confused:? Is it possible the computer was put there by North Korea?

I get around.
Yes it's probably a NK honeypot trying to entrap Canadians...

Control Panel > "Date, Time and Regional Language" options.
If you can't make sense of the Korean, the icon for this is a globe with a calendar on the left side.
Then you want "Regional and Language Options" (a globe icon). Open that, and the middle tab is for Languages so click on that, then the Details button in the top part of the tab, and then choose English (US).

Then close up all the option screens. You might need to reboot.

I'd get myself a copy of whichever Windows OS and do a clean format and re-install.

You never know the reasons they threw out a computer, maybe it has some sort of virus on it or whatever.
Clean install makes it runs smoother too!

I thought I tried this a few times already. Will give it one more shot.

I still have an XP installation disc. I think this is the way to go. Clean start. I just hope the XP re-installation works.

BTW: I don't trust those North Koreans. They fucked up Sony, who knows what they might do to my porn collection (no personal vids or pics).

Despite the fact the P4 came out circa 2004-5, I find it is still great for photos and up to 720p videos and only struggles a bit sometimes with 1080p videos. It is great as a stand alone computer for your porn collection. Remember, they can't hack you (unless they physically steal your computer) if you are not hooked up to the Internet.

I suggest you download Ubuntu ( free operating system ) off the internet. Your machine will run faster with the simpler operating system

Thanks but the problem with LINUX is that. unless it changed recently, will not accept Media Player Classic.
