So as I'm sure you've all seen the viral video KONY 2012.
Made it seem like uganda is still plagued by the LRA, when infact they are hiding a thousand miles away in the congo.
Now that social media is BEGGING the states to send more troops in, we found out Uganda is a new found oil interest for the USA. Coincidence? I don't think so!

And
Did everyone forget about the Rwanda genocide? It was only '94 and Kabuga is still livin in kenya, livin the good like and supporting guerilla warfare...
Shame on everyone!!
Is everyone so ignorant that we only support or care about what ever the latest social trend is? People need to open their eyes and ears them maybe the LRA wouldn't come as much of a
shock!!

Obviously you have a position which differs from that of the Charity "Invisible Children."

Yes, like many such videos it attempts to simplify complex situations. Does that diminish the fact that Kony is a thoroughly bad person and richly deserves to be brought to trial.

However, I would agree with you that there are certain segments of Western society which do indeed have their "cause de jour."

So educating people as to the crimes of the LRA and Kony is a bad thing?

Because one criminal remains free we should ignore all others?
