That means most of the Green New Deal is effectively dead, along with the trillions in planned tax hikes that were supposed to pay for it.
So is the dream of creating new states to improve the Democrats' chances in the electoral college vote.

If anything, the election showed the Americans' supposed new-found love of socialism was vastly overrated.
