She did a great job on Cheers joining the cast after Shelly Long left. Very difficult to fill the shoes of a star on a successful show. RIP.

Couldn’t just let her die in peace eh?
Her death was not peaceful, she was emotionally troubled and she was exploited by Scientology. She became morbidly obese due to binge eating brought on by depression. She was denied medication for her health problems by Scientology. Like Kelly Preston she died from a brief battle with cancer - that's sugar coating it. Like Kelly Preston cancer ravaged her body and she died in agony.

I'm keen to find out how much of her estate the cult took from her. Isaac Hayes was in penury when his untreated heart condition felled him...I hope you folks enjoyed Top Gun:Maverick, 20 % of the proceeds go to Scientology.

I did not know that. I thought most of the famous scientologist celebrities had escaped. Tom Cruise being one of the few die-hard devotees. I guess I was confusing her with Lea Remini. Similar persona I guess.

I could care less if she was a scientologist, people should be able to choose what they want to believe in. What I do know is she took a lot of heat from Hollywood for her political stance, similar to Jimmy Woods. She was brave for that. Sad to see her gone so early after a very short bout with colon cancer. She was awesome in Cheers and I enjoyed her performances in a few movies - Summer School, Shoot to Kill and Village of the Damned. May she RIP.

Man I knew so many people succumb to colon cancer...but aren't these one of the ones easily detected early via screening? Maybe there are different types that are so aggressive? I got colonoscopy 5 years ago and even though my doctor said I was clear and schedule me after 10 years. I would like to have it 4 years early.

As far as I know poly removal in the colonoscopy procedure
is next to useless for treatment of any of diseases associated
with colorectal cancer: IBD, IBS and Pruritus Ani. It is puzzling
how it is the magic bullet for preemptive treatment of the cancer
of colon.

I didn't know you were so magnanimous Kirk. if I believed in ISIS (I don't), good to know it's ok with you. I don't know anything about her political views, she was insecure, not a bag of mixed nuts like James Woods. Btw I worked with a colon cancer survivor, it wasn't easy, his flatulence was sickly sweet.

I agree. I even recently defended Kyrie Irving's right to believe in anti-semitic theories. The problem is when people cross the line and try to inflict their views on others and/or infringe on their rights. I don't know if Alley went that far.
