Regular service on the 504/304 King Streetcar is set to resume on Sunday.

Service was halted in June due to watermain repairs and track work at the intersection of King and Church streets.

The work on the intersection was completed on August 18 at which time replacement buses were put back into service.

Streetcar service will now resume on Sunday after TTC crews complete testing on the newly installed tracks.

Also starting on Sunday, buses will be replacing streetcars on the 503 Kingston Road route with service between Bingham Loop at Victoria Park Avenue and Joe Shuster Way.

The 508 Lake Shore service will also return on Tuesday during the morning and afternoon peak periods to support downtown office commuters. It will go from the Distillery Loop to Long Branch in the west.

That will make getting to the downtown HGE condos less of a PITA again.

Just in time for TIFF. I bet there was pressure to get it done before the "eyes of the world" were on Downtown Toronto.
