On July 6, I had booked Kassidy for July 8. She was prepaid for 3 hrs. Hours before the appt. she canceled. fine. we rebooked for the 9th. She did the same thing and caneled. By now I was annoyed but I decided to give Kassidy 1 more chance. We rebooked for July 11. She showed up & stayed 1 hr. then her phone rang. She needed to leave but she offered & eventually gave my money back to me...Now that's classy.......

I need some clarification. You prepay Kassidy for 3 hours and then she cancels on you twice after agreeing to these two appointments. Then you make a third with her and she wants to leave after one hour? I assume you generally book her for a three hour session? Did she refund you all three hours or just the two remaining hours still owing? If she refunded all three hours... then that was a smart business move. If she only refunded you two hours from your initial three hour prepayment... then that's not my definition of "classy" after what you have been through.

I am with Calloway on this one.

A pre payment (???) and basically 3 cancellations over a phone ringing. That's hardly classy IMHO. I think hour in question should have been gratis at the very least.

Sorry Tony

But Calloway is correct. I think you should have gotten better treatment than that.
Why if she new she was booked for 3 hours did she suddenly need to leave. Was she not prepared to actually give what was paid for before she got there ! I mean really....if she knew 3 hours was needed then she should have made the time to do it. Not " suddenly " have to leave.

She sounds kinda flakey to me. How many opportunities does she need to get it right.

It should have been free. Or next time book her and don't be there when she arrives....twice .....then your even....she'll understand....ya right

You should change the thread title to " Kassidy needs a good deal on a watch "

I refunded the amount for the entire 3 hours. As for the reason I had to leave. My dog was having seizures, I was called by my dog sitter and needless to say, I did not think it wise to remain for the remainder of the appoinment (the other two hours) and then the drive back to Guelph (another 1 1/2 hours). The reason for the previous cancellations were the same thing. I had been assured by my vet, before both rebookings that they had remedied the problem. It turned out not to be the case. Before the last rebooking I had offered to refund the pre payment. But we decided to see what the vet had to say. They believed the seizures to be caused by a medication she had been given, and blood test revealed it was no longer in her system. Therefore I felt safe to rebook, having assumed my vet knew what they were talking about. It turned out their diagnosis was incorrect, which lead to the new seizure on Monday afternoon.

I am generally very reliable, but my pets are my children, anyone who has pets will understand this thought process. I feared that if I did not return immediately, that perhaps she would have passed on before I ever saw her again.

I believe I acted in the best manner possible given the circumstances, and of course any future appoinment would be at a discount as well. Looking back on it, it might have been best to wait, but, I am not a vet, and could only act acccording to what I was told.

Maybe I am wrong .. but

Kassidy shouldn't need to explain herself to anyone, but the client. If he felt it was ok to reboot and scoot because of a problem than that is all that mattered.

I agree 100%... but Tony was the one that posted it on the board and I felt clarification was needed to prevent any misunderstanding or public relations damage for Kassidy. She obviously did the right thing... and the issue should now be closed.

For *** sake ...My first post in this thread was meant as a positive comment not a negative one towards Kassidy.
This is exactly why I asked for clarification in the first place. You didn't fully explain the situation and the way you wrote it could easily be interpreted two different ways.
